Do I need an account to download?
No — anyone with the link (and password if set) can download without an account. You only need an account to upload and manage files.
Is my file really private?
Files are served only to people with the exact link. Transit is TLS-encrypted, objects are AES-256 encrypted at rest by the storage provider. We do not index or crawl your file contents.
What happens when I delete a file?
The file is marked deleted immediately and the underlying object is purged from storage shortly after. It stops serving to anyone with the link right away.
Can I share huge files over a slow connection?
Uploads are fully chunked and resumable. If your network drops mid-transfer, we pick up where you left off.
Is there an API?
Yes — paid plans include a REST API and personal access keys for automation. See the developer page once you sign in.
Can I sell files instead of giving them away for free?
Yes. Set a price on any file from the Share panel and we handle the paid-download flow — buyers pay through Razorpay, funds land in your wallet minus a platform commission. It works on top of our free tier so you can mix free and paid downloads on the same account.
Do you scan files for malware?
Every upload is scanned with VirusTotal + our own aggregator before it becomes downloadable. Files that fail are quarantined and flagged for moderation before anyone can grab them.
What happens to my files if I stop paying?
You keep everything you uploaded and stay on the plan until the paid period ends. After that you drop to the free tier — files above the free storage limit stop serving downloads but are not deleted; upgrade any time to re-enable them.
Can I use my own domain for share links?
Yes — pro and business plans can add a custom short-domain (like files.yourbrand.com). Set it up under Settings → Domains. DNS + SSL are handled automatically.
How large a file can I upload?
Free accounts upload files up to 2 GB each; paid plans raise the per-file limit to 10 GB and beyond. Uploads are chunked and resumable, so a dropped connection doesn't cost you the whole transfer.
